ART BRESCIA 2011

From September 3rd to November 30th 2011 the first edition of Art Brescia - International Biennial of contemporary art will take place. The event aims to present the public with a wide selection of paintings, sculptures, photographs, installations, videos and digital works by Italian and foreign artists, emerging or already famous. These works will be hosted in some of the most important museums and exhibitions in Brescia and its province.
The goal is ambitious, since we intend to provide an overview as wealthy and open minded as possible of the wide and multiform contemporary art production, aiming to go beyond sectional points of view or dictates influenced by fashion and market.
Art Brescia 2011 will also host many interrelated events and initiatives, in order to provide a free and open opportunity for developing knowledge and communication.
The event will feature the publication of a catalog documenting all artists participating in the Biennale. A competition is organized to choose the work shown on the cover of the catalog Art Brescia
